It's a fairly low-key afternoon of Flat turf racing today and, with field sizes generally on the small side, alongside an usual tricky amateur riders’ contest, we'll focus on the (16:50) at Redcar 👀🍀🫎

Nice to see yesterday’s winner Badri following up Archduke Ferdinand to make it back-to-back winning renewals for us in the race 👀🍀

Today's Horse Racing Tips

Redcar 16.50

This looks a fairly ordinary Class 6 sprint where the market principals all have something to prove. Market leader Doralee makes only limited appeal at a short enough price given her moderate overall profile figures and the other principal Lady Bouquet reliable enough but doesn’t appear thrown in from the handicapper.

On the each way front, a consideration would be Crocus Time who is interesting from a pace perspective but obvious reservations with just 1 win from 28 starts and now tackling 5f for the first time,.

With those contenders carrying questions marks of their own, happy to chance one we backed LTO for EW value here with KYBER CRYSTAL 🫎🍀

Our selected who we were on LTO at Hamilton where things went wrong from the off. He anticipated the start, hit the gates and effectively blew his chance in the opening strides, leaving himself with far too much to do thereafter. That run is very easy to forgive in a race where early track position proved crucial 🏇

Prior to that he had shaped much better when third here at Redcar behind Beerwah in a 0-60 contest, and this race rates around 5lb lower than that effort. This is a weak Class 6 and that piece of form looks competitive for this.

The pace and draw setup also look workable enough for him to get involved if breaking on terms this time, and while Amie Waugh still seeks that elusive first Redcar winner, her 3lb claim should help, on at 16/1 and the THREE places on offer 👀🟢
