🏇Southwell Racing Tips Today – Each-Way Value | 10 October 2026
🏇 Saturday keeps us on the All-Weather at Southwell, and today we’ve got a couple of Southwell racing tips that look worth getting stuck into.
The first one comes in the 16:10, where we’re going back to a horse we’ve already been keeping an eye on, before taking a closer look at the 16:45 Class 5 seller for another value angle hiding in there.🎯🔥
BOL if you're making any selections today🍀🤞🐎
Nothing doing on Sunday so we'll be back on MONDAY morning with a look at Newcastle & Kempton around 9.00 am.

BORDERLINE MADNESS - 12/1 EACH WAY – 4 PLACES, 1/5 odds 🔥
There are some fairly obvious claims towards the head of the market, with Green Icon, Dumfries and Potters Prince all likely to attract support.
I did consider Volenti, for an each-way snifter who is certainly on an attractive enough mark, but I’d rather wait for him to return to Newcastle, where I think his profile makes more appeal.
So another tracker, at an each-way price I’m going back to , who I’ve had our eye on in William Stone’s BORDERLINE MADNESS.
She stepped forward nicely from her seasonal return when winning over this course and distance in April, and the most important part for me is that she now comes back here from the very same mark OR55.
The three runs since haven't matched that performance on paper, but I’m prepared to forgive them. Her latest at Lingfield was better than the bare finishing position suggests. She had to wait for a gap before getting her chance to go forward, with cheekpieces fitted for the first time.
The headgear is retained today, and we’re now getting her back onto the track and rating where we already know she can deliver.
There is also some useful substance behind the Southwell angle. Her record currently shows 1 win from 2 starts over this C&D, while she has won 3 times from 13 starts at a mile overall.
Drawn high from Trap 14, which is the side I wanted for her, Jack Mitchell, one of the most accomplished All-Weather pilots around, to do the steering.and on at around 12/1 with FOUR places being paid, she looks the one to have on side 🎯

SANDY CRAIC - 11/1 EACH WAY – 4 PLACES, 1/5 odds 🔥
There are a few obvious dangers in here. Izzari won over this C&D recently and has stronger historical AW class evidence than most.
R P McMurphy is exceptionally reliable around Southwell and the market has latched onto him, although his record here has been far stronger for placing than actually winning.
Calm The Jets has been the big market mover and clearly has to be respected on the return to the All-Weather, while Prince Rasam has a very solid recent Class 5 AW run from today’s mark.
Rusheen Boy also won over this C&D in August, although importantly that came in Class 6 company and today asks a tougher question.
The one I want at the prices, though, is David O’Meara’s SANDY CRAIC.
She is back down to OR69, which is exactly the mark she won from at Carlisle in June, and she has hardly fallen apart since. Her form after that win reads 2-2-3-5-3, so this isn’t simply a horse dropping back to an old winning mark because she has completely lost her way.
More importantly, her latest run came over this exact Southwell mile, where she finished third from OR71 in a Class 4 seller with an AvOR of 75.2. Today she drops to OR69 in a Class 5 rated 7lb lower. This represents a very obvious easing in the level of opposition while also putting her back on a proven winning mark.
She has also shown consistently that a mile suits her. Since that Carlisle success she has been second at Beverley, second at Redcar, third at Haydock and third here at Southwell, so there is plenty of current evidence that she is holding her form rather than relying on something from twelve months ago.
The draw in Trap1 is probably the main tactical question. Most of the obvious pace looks likely to develop towards the higher numbers, with Oro Palacio and City Of God both capable of going forward and Rusheen Boy also positioned on that side. Hopefully doesn't get dropped right out at the back on the inside while the race develops away from her.
However, she is tactically versatile. She has raced held up, midfield and prominently, and Mark Winn knows her well. He was aboard when she won from OR69 at Carlisle and again when she finished second at Beverley from OR71, so hopefully he can make sensible use of that inside draw and have her close enough to the action without getting involved in a battle for the lead.
With scope for a little more improvement than with some of the more exposed older runners in here, and she is one of two Southwell runners on the day for the David O’Meara stable.
Mark Winn doing the honours and on at around 12/1 with FOUR places being paid 🎯
