🏇Newcastle Racing Tips Today – Handicap Preview & Each-Way Selection | 20th October
🏇 We're back on the Tapeta at Gosforth Park this evening for another competitive all-weather card, and today's Newcastle Racing Tips will once again focus on finding a little each-way value away from the obvious market leaders.
Best race on the card for us is the 20.30, a thirteen-runner sprint handicap restricted to horses aged four and older. There are a few familiar names from our trackers in the field, along with some interesting runners who have been competing against stronger opposition.
There's the usual each-way offering of FOUR paying places🎯
BOL if you're making any selections today🍀🤞🐎

LORD ABAMA — 12/1 EACH WAY - 4 PAYING PLACES🎯
There are a few with chances in this competitive six-furlong apprentice handicap, including Pit Boss and Hectic, who both have form in stronger company, while Rye arrives with a recent all-weather win to his name.
However, we're going to take a chance at a bigger price with LORD ABAMA at 12/1, who looks capable of getting involved if returning to his more prominent running style.
Michael Dods runs two in the race, with Macedonian partnered by Rhys Elliott, although the 1-from-29 record is a slight concern.
Our selection gets Jack Callan, who has an encouraging 10-2-6 record over Newcastle's stiff six furlongs, and that could be significant in a race where getting into a good position early may prove important.
Lord Abama is a previous course-and-distance winner with an overall 11-2-5 record over this trip at Gosforth Park. He's slipped to a competitive mark of OR50, and his last two visits here suggest he's not far away from getting his head in front again.
He was beaten just half a length when third in September, having made much of the running, before finishing a close fourth on his next appearance despite being slowly away.
Drawn in trap 8, he has the opportunity to race prominently towards the stands side, which is where we'd prefer to be over this stiff six furlongs. The stronger opposition compared with his recent races is a reservation, but he's shown enough from his current mark to suggest another good run is possible.
Currerntly an each-way chance at around 12/1 and the FOUR paying places🎯
