🏇 Redcar Racing Tips Today – Each-Way Value | 3 October 2026

4 min read

🏇 Saturday brings the curtain down on our turf Flat season at Redcar, and we’re hoping to finish it on a high before switching our attention to the all-weather — or the kitty litter — from next week. 😄

We’ve gone through today’s Redcar card and settled on two races with hopefully some proper each-way angles rather than simply following the obvious market leaders.

First up is the 16:35 Class 2 Straight-Mile Series Final, followed by the 17:40 Class 4 sprint over 5f. Both are competitive handicaps, but both give us enough evidence from current marks, course form, pace and draw to go looking for value. 🎯🔥

BOL if you're making any selections today🍀🤞🐎

Back on MONDAY morning around 9.00 am.

Redcar Racing Tips

Redcar 16.35

DOUBLE PARKED - 15/2 EACH WAY – 5 PLACES, 1/5 odds 🔥

There are plenty of obvious dangers in what looks a very competitive renewal. Classic Encounter heads the market and has a rock-solid C&D profile, while Welbury has been heavily supported and Rajapour brings two Redcar wins this season. Theoryofeverything also has the class to be involved if getting the race run to suit.

We’re siding with DOUBLE PARKED at around 15/2.

He has already shown twice this season that the flat track mile, finishing 3rd here from OR80, and again 3rd from OR81 so no doubt about whether he can compete from the mark.

Todays renewal rates around 5lb lower on average than those races, so looks well treated on those figures from only 1lb above his last winning mark.

He is naturally a prominent/forward-going horse, happy to race right up with the pace, and that is exactly where you want to be here.

From Trap 11, David Allan should be able to get him into a handy position without having to force things, and with several runners likely to race more patiently, he should hopefully be in the right part of the race when things begin to develop.

Tim Easterby has an excellent record in this particular final, with one current race-stat source showing five wins from the last ten runnings. Long-time followers might remember one of our old favourites, Give It Some Teddy, winning this race twice for the yard.

He goes with three today in this one but the booking of David Allan makes him look the pick.

Available around 12/1 last night, so slightly frustrating not to have taken that, but the move into 15/2 and the 5 PAYING PLACES is still an acceptable EW punt.

AL HUSSAR - 18/1 EACH WAY – 5 PLACES, 1/5 odds 🔥

The market has latched firmly onto Mo Of Cairo, who has been strongly supported after his very good second at Musselburgh on Wednesday and the likely strong gallop should play to his strengths.

Recent Ripon winner Accrual, and Ziggy’s Triton look the main dangers.

All three have obvious claims, but at the prices we’re prepared to look much further down the market and take a chance on Grant Tuer’s AL HUSSAR at 18/1, with FOUR places on offer.

He was in our tracker as a 3yo last September last year when ne noted his optimum preference were these type of straight flat tracks.

Today's should be a properly run 5f. Accrual, Dolos Dream and Curious Rover have all shown a natural inclination to race forward, while Ziggy’s Triton and several others can also sit close to the speed that could suit.

He tends to show best when racing prominent or just behind the pace rather than needing to blaze the trail himself. From trap 9, can hopefully get close without being dragged into an early battle.

He won a 17-runner Class 4 at Thirsk from OR80 earlier this season and has also been 2nd from OR77 and 4th from OR83 in better race than this. He drops to OR79 today, which puts him 1lb below that last winning mark.

His latest run wasn't a good one put will put a line through that Ayr Class 2. That was over the 6f, so back down in trip and grade for today's Class 4, should be better. However that last performance is partly why we are getting 18/1.

If young Ollie Stammers can get him just behind the early speed and he reproduces anything close to the level of his better Class 4 efforts, he looks capable of massively outrunning those odds on with 18/1 and the 4 PAYING PLACES is still an acceptable EW punt.
