Newcastle 18.15

Pop Favorite was backed last week for a decent priced bridesmaid for us.

However will look to another who was in that one to improve on last showing.

Dave Thompson enters up three in this one and will take MARTIN'S BRIG to get amongst the slots at a nice price.

Generally around a 50% placer under today's conditions has Rhys Elliott up top claiming 7lb and 3-1-2 when booked. He booted him home here off a 53 mark last June and now on a basement 45.

Likely to be given a soft lead and hopefully lasts out with 14/1 and the THREE paying places.

Newcastle 18.15 - Martin's Brig (Full Stakes Challenge)

Tomorrow Day, quickly back out form Thursday heads the market. Steps up to the 7f and less of a known at the trip.

Going to opt with Ruth Carr's charge BOBBY JOE LEGG.

Ran up a trio of wins last winter that popped him up to near 70. Has dropped to a mark of 63 following a couple of below par runs.

However get Jimmy Sullivan back in the plate who has best form up top dropping back into calmer Class 6 waters from 3lb higher than last winning mark.

Plenty of pace to come off and on with 17/2 and the THREE paying places.

Newcastle 18.45 - Bobby Joe Legg (Full Stakes Challenge)

Low grade Class 6 over the 7f with less than a handful of last 2 year winners lining up.

Fircombe Hall one who we have backed in the past is one of those. On at wipes yer face prices is just 1-18 over the trip.

Going to look at GALILIEO GLASS.

Was a mid 70's rated juvenile with Darryl Holland and much travelled since is back with the yard.

6-1-4 under today's conditions; going, distance & class goes on 4th run for the yard. Prior best run was when just losing out at the death when trying to make all from Plumette at Wolves over the trip.

A sharpener over the 6f should see him primed for a decent crack in this bunch.
