Hamilton is riding Heavy, while Leicester is Good to Firm, good in places, so conditions are very different across the afternoon.

Our original Hamilton target has lost some of its appeal after the withdrawals, with the relevant handicap now down to 7 runners.

That moves our main attention to the 16.47 Leicester, a 14-runner Class 4 handicap over 1m53y, where the bigger field gives us better value and a recently added tracker going to consider 🐎💷🔥

Leicester Racing Tips

Leicester 16.47

BREAKDANCER – 9/1 EW, 3 places, 1/5th ODDS

The market is headed by Wesam, Glen Nevis, Trio, Tamzan and Island Bear, with Home Hero also attracting support.

None look bombproof and, in a 14-runner handicap with four places on offer, always happy to look a little further down the market for something with a stronger value angle.

Opting for the Crisford's BREAKDANCER who comes back onto the radar after going in the tracker on penultimate run.

That was an excellent front-running effort under Paul Mulrennan at Ayr at 14/1, where he showed that his turf ability was considerably better than the evidence suggested. He likes to race prominently and today’s pace setup gives him another opportunity to use that strength.

Today's trace is rated around 5lb easier and today racing from OR82, which is the same mark from which he produced his best recent performance, plus the 5lb claim from Maeson Paetel effectively gives him a little extra help at the weights.

From Trap 9 he isn’t in the ideal low section, but Leicester does favour horses able to race forward, so hopefully can get a position without using too much petrol

There is also a positive trainer angle. Simon & Ed Crisford are running at around 17% winners over the last fortnight, with nearly half of their runners making the frame, while their longer-term Leicester figures are also solid 25-5-15.

Breakdancer is their only runner of the day, which adds a little interest without being overstated.
