🏇 After three competitive days at Ayr, attention switches to Hamilton for Sunday’s racing. 

Ayr proved frustrating from a win perspective, with three placed efforts from our six each-way selections but no winner.

Today we start again with a clean slate and one meeting to concentrate on. Hamilton is the sole focus, with our main attention on the 15.30 Class 4 Fillies’ Handicap over 6f 👀🐎💷🔥

Hamilton Racing Tips

Hamilton 15.30

MAE AMOR – 17/2 EW, 3 places

There are plenty of obvious claims amongst the market principals here. Jannas Journey won a division of this race last year and has plenty of back-class, although turning out again after running at Ayr yesterday on testing ground is enough to put us off at the price.

Persian Spirit has been well supported and has some useful stronger-race form, while Annie Edson Taylor has arguably the strongest proven Heavy/Soft and Hamilton profile in the field.

The gamble on Thunderstorm Katie is also interesting, although her best recent efforts have generally come in weaker-rated races and her testing-ground record remains a concern.

We’ll instead side with Rebecca Menzies’ MAE AMOR.

She is also already sitting on our tracker from August after putting together a dependable sequence over six furlongs.

She was a big-price winner over this C&D on her return in May from OR77, and then produced an excellent 4th of 26 at Glorious Goodwood from the same OR77 before remaining competitive on her next couple of starts.

Todays race is a weaker grade that either of those and today's off OR74.

Her latest Hamilton run on soft was also better than the bare fourth suggests, beaten only around two lengths from OR75, and she is another pound lower now.

Obvioulsy, outside of the favourite, the Heavy going is the one question mark, but Soft itself has looked perfectly workable.

From trap 8 she sits in the higher section, that has been favourable here of late. With plenty of likely pace around her, she should hopefully get a nice tow into the race rather than having to force the issue.

Kaiya Fraser does the steering and we’re looking at a current 17/2 EW with THREE places. 🏇💷🔥
