🏇 Kempton Racing Tips Today – Handicap Preview & Each-Way Selection | 26th October
Morning peeps and welcome to another week on the all-weather!
We've got racing at both Kempton and Southwell today, but after going through the cards, I've decided to concentrate our Kempton racing tips on the (18.45) a Class 4 handicap over a mile.
There aren't any races restricted to horses aged four and upwards, which we generally prefer, but this one looks the best fit for our approach. With 14 declared runners, nine aged four or older, there's plenty of established all-weather form to work through, and importantly, FOUR each-way places are available.
Southwell also has a few possibilities, but the smaller fields, apprentice involvement and generally less attractive place terms make those races less appealing today.
Let's see if we can start the week with another nice-priced winner! 🐎🍀
BOL if you're making any selections today🍀🤞
Back in the morning before 9.00 am.

LOBLOLLY – 8/1 EACH WAY – FOUR paying places🍀
There's a competitive Class 4 mile handicap at Kempton this evening, with Drifts Away heading our list of dangers following two turf victories in July and a good second at Yarmouth earlier this month. Fight Your Corner also has obvious claims, having won over this course and distance in January before finishing second here in August.
Both should go well, but at the prices I'm going to take an each-way chance on Sean Woods' three-year-old LOBLOLLY.
He's a lightly raced sort who has shown a definite liking for the all-weather, finishing first or second in four of his six AW appearances, including a victory at Lingfield last September.
His latest run is the one that particularly interests me. Returning to Kempton on 30 September, he finished 2nd of thirteen in a Class 4 handicap over today's mile, beaten around 1¾ lengths by Elan d'Or.
That was from OR81 in a race rated 4lb or so higher than this one against older horses. He's been nudged up just 1lb to OR82, which doesn't look unreasonable given that latest performance.
His previous Kempton appearance also produced a second, so he's now 2-2-0 from two visits here, although the earlier effort came in a small field against his own age group.
The obvious reservation is that he hasn't yet won a handicap, however, his latest Kempton second suggests he's finding his feet against older opposition, and he's only had a handful of handicap starts.
His better handicap efforts have generally come when racing around midfield rather than getting involved in the early pace. That's encouraging from Trap 6, where David Egan should have the opportunity to get him settled just behind the leaders.
Bubbles Wonky, Drifts Away and Breathe Easy all capable of going forward, and hopefully they'll ensure a decent gallop.
Egan is a positive jockey booking too. Over the past twelve months he's ridden 11 winners from 69 rides at Kempton, with another 16 placed, so knows his way around this track.
At 8/1 with FOUR paying places, I'm happy to give him a chance over what looks to be a suitable course and distance.
Let's hope David Egan can get him into a nice position and produce him when it matters! 🐎🍀
