Today's Horse Racing Tips

Newcastle 17.30

Carron a real shorty for George Boughey and Billy Whizz doing the steering.

A few noteworthy at EW value, Flying Fletcher, Francesi and Tribal Wisdom. All relatively closely matched on previous H2H. The former getting 10lb on this renewal versus there New Years Day race.

However, Richard Fahey charges always difficult to call and this one does have an entry for the Lincoln despite 5-0-1 on the turf.

Going to settle on Ian William's charge TRIBAL WISDOM who gets a bit further than this so should appreciate a stiff 8f.

Despite unplaced here on two runs this term, they have been a C3 and a better grade C4 than this where he was just 2 lengths adrift of Midnight Lion and Flying Fletcher with whom he gets a 4lb pull.

The Fahey charge likely to be setting the pace from trap 3 so hopefully ours gets a clear run down the stands side under Cieren Fallon priced with 9/1 and the THREE paying slots.

Risking a 'kick in the nads' am going to oppose with LESSAY.

With plenty of pace on show hoping this sets up for a closer. Our selected, previously noted behind another recent winner, My Mate Mike, has been thereabouts of late whilst easing to 2lb below last winning mark.

He also looked a tad unlucky and could have finished closer LTO when denied room.

Off bottom rung of the handicap, top claimer Ryan Kavanagh gets a further 5lb off. and priced with 10/1 and the THREE paying slots.
