Today's Horse Racing Tips

Southwell 16.45

Open looking Class 6 mile with what I would suggest a really looking false favourite Imola stuck in at 5/2. Only 1 win from 20 and has to hump another 4lb for that win on penultimate outing.

There's a few with chances but going to look at one with a couple of course wins in Michael Herrington's HERETIC.

A proven performer over the mile, with multiple wins at the trip, including two here. Recent form is solid, those back to back wins here were backed up with a decent showing behind Aisling Oscar at Gosforth. That one beat ours home last night when completing that 7-timer.

Looks a very solid each‑way proposition with in form Dylan Hogan doing the steering. Priced with 14's and the THREE paying places with the likes of  bet365.

Southwell 16.45 - Heretic (Full Stakes Challenge)

Golden Pharoah likely to give it a good go off the front for Scott Dixon. Nonetheless holds a solitary win at Ffos Las off 64. AW mark has been creeping north, 6-0-3 and now rated 78.

At just better than wipes yer face 6's will take Mark Loughnane's GEORGIO M to follow up on his last win.

Not long in form George Boughey was a noted close 2nd here last February under William Buick in a similar C4. Also noted again when running on for 3rd behind our recent winner Counsel.

Having hit the ground running quickly for his new yard it's reasonable to expect a good chance of a follow up whilst in this form.

With not a lot of C4 form form the others should be around the mixer. Ed Greatrix doing the steering and priced with 6's and the THREE paying places.
