Today's Horse Racing Tips

Kempton 19.00

Warm order favourite with John Butler's Silent Night. Has a solid AW record 12-3-4 with a latest success coming here in December when landing a Class 3 handicap over 1 mile. Drops into a Class 5 £4k handicap, has a good low draw, and the booking of Rossa Ryan a positive.

Looking at the EW players, Billy Mill has won for us this term and does just about get the mile. On the drift already this morning doesn't bode well, though the yard in decent form.

Going to side with Simon Dow's REY DE LA BATALLA.

Hasn’t been at his best in recent runs, but he now returns to a very workable mark, racing 1 lb below his last winning rating and back at a track where he has a strong record with two C&D wins.

LTO at Lingfield, finished 5th of 8, but that run came over a slightly inadequate trip. The step back up in distance should suit, especially in a race where the likely strong early pace could play into his strengths.

He's a strong finisher that could be to his benefit in a contested pace scenario. With several likely front-runners in the field, the race setup could allow him to sit midfield before finishing strongly.

'Cousin' Paddy doing the steering can have bouncebackability from this handy mark on with 16/1 and the FOUR paying places.
