Beverley 16.25

VIXEY – 10/1 EW, 3 places

Misunderstood is the obvious market principal after two consecutive seconds at around today’s level, while progressive 3yo Supreme Clarets has to be respected having won over this C&D last time.

This Farh is another we know well having already won for us this season and returns fresh after around 90 days with a very favourable pace profile. However needs to find around 5lb of improvement and the yard hardly firing.

However, at the prices we’re prepared to take them on with Simon West’s VIXEY.

She has been remarkably consistent since winning four times during 2025, climbing from the mid-50s to a peak mark of OR80, despite her highest actual winning mark being OR72.

However, she has subsequently proved that the higher ratings were no fluke. She has finished 2nd from OR77 and, 3rd from OR79 before a very creditable 5th in Class 2 company from OR79. In that one she showed plenty of attitude when rallying after being headed in that Chester contest. Her latest fourth there suggested she remains in decent form even if it was a little below her best.

She now drops back to OR77 in a slightly easier overall level than much of the company she has been facing this season. Already a C&D winner. Aiden Brookes knows her extremely well having ridden her almost exclusively, so although both jockey and yard have been short of winners recently, aguably is a positive.

On the balance she should again be competitive at this level and looks capable of getting involved in the places at worst.
