💥 🏆 Another cracking result members today as LADY BOUQUET, advised at 12/1 each-way with 4 places, landed the 16:15 at Musselburgh and returned 9/1.

The price shortened through the day and she delivered exactly as hoped, Kevin Stott had her travelling prominently before staying on strongly to get the job done.

After Diomed Spirit was beaten just a nose at 12/1 yesterday, it was great to see today’s value selection go one better. 🏇🔥🍀💰🫎

Today's Selections - Kevin Stott winner

Mussleburgh 16.15

LADY BOUQUET - 12/1 EW, 4 places

There are obvious dangers. So Grateful arrives after three consecutive seconds and is very well treated relative to his last winning mark, while Wee Mary has an excellent pace-and-draw setup and strong recent Musselburgh form. Royal Duke is another who could be dangerous if the race falls his way, having slipped well below his previous winning mark.

However, at the price will take LADY BOUQUET.

She has been holding her form reasonably well through the summer, with several respectable efforts in races at least as strong as this one. Her latest run at Ripon is easy enough to forgive as it came just two days after she had already run at Hamilton, and she has now been given time to freshen up before returning to a sharp 5f which arguably suits her better.

The handicap position is attractive. She has previously won from a higher mark and today's OR45 leaves her below her last winning rating, while she has already shown she can compete successfully in races stronger than today's field, including winning a turf sprint rated nearly a full stone higher than this.

There is also plenty to like about her record at the minimum trip. Lady Bouquet has won 3 of her 14 starts over 5f, and although she has yet to win at Musselburgh, she has placed on two of her three visits, so there is enough evidence that the track suits her.

From trap 4 she should also have useful pace nearby, particularly through So Grateful, allowing her to sit just behind the pace rather than being forced to make her own running.

Kevin Stott taking over is another positive. He rides Musselburgh particularly well and, although he is still awaiting a winner of late for Philip Kirby he is 6-0-3 for the last year.

He is also booked for Misemerald in the following race, but the selected looks a perfectly credible booking in her own right rather than simply a spare ride priced with 12/1 and the FOUR paying places (1/5 odds)
