💥 🏆 Nice to get the sand goggles working as we get our all-weather campaign underway, with Paul Midgley Trained EMERALD HARMONY doing the business at Newcastle.

We took 10/1 each way with four places, and those who left it to SP were rewarded with an even bigger price as she drifted out to 12/1 before getting the job done. It was a really satisfying result too, with the form, course record, handicap mark and race setup all pointing towards a big run — and a good way to start building some momentum on the AW.

A strong, well-timed performance and looked a cosy winner 🔥🍀💰🫎

Today's Selections - Paul Midgley winner

Newcastle 18.45

EMERALD HARMONY 10/1 EACH WAY — FOUR PLACES 🎯

There were a few we looked at closely here. Paddy’s Day has an outstanding Newcastle record and is very well treated compared with some of his old winning marks, while Kinetic Force comes here off a solid recent effort and has already shown he can be competitive from this sort of rating.

Little Mi Mi also has a very strong C&D record and was another that made plenty of appeal.

At the prices though, we are opting for the Midgemeisters EMERALD HARMONY.

The mare has been running consistently well in competitive sprint handicaps and comes here having recorded three improving RPRs, which suggests she is building back towards another big run rather than simply holding her form.

Her previous Newcastle effort is particularly encouraging. She finished 2nd over this C&D from OR77 in a very similar strength race , and she returns today from OR74.

She also has plenty of solid recent 5f form, including a win from today’s OR74, and she has continued to run well from higher marks since. That gives us confidence that the current rating is workable rather than simply attractive on paper.

The draw also looks useful. She comes out of Trap 11, and at Newcastle that high side has generally performed well over 5f. Importantly, she does not need to dominate from the front to be effective, which gives David Nolan options depending on how the early pace develops.

He knows her extremely well, having partnered her to some of her strongest recent efforts, and it also catches the eye that this is the yards sole runner on the card this evening.

On around 10/1 and the FOUR paying places, looks worth chancing at the price🎯
