Today's Horse Racing Tips

Big field 8f historic Carlisle Bell Handicap and many with chances.

However will go with just the one and that is Ian Williams charge BE FRANK.

Never an easy race to solve, but at the prices Be Frank appeals as one of the more interesting each-way propositions in the field.

A former higher-grade performer, he has spent much of his career competing in stronger company than this and now finds himself operating from a mark that at least gives him a fighting chance if able to rediscover enough of his old ability.

While his record since joining Ian Williams has been somewhat inconsistent, there have been enough recent signs to suggest he could be coming to hand at the right time.

His seasonal return at Chester came after a lengthy nine-month absence and he shaped as though the run would do him plenty of good. He was bumped around early in that one but was doing best work at the finish.

Today's conditions could prove ideal. The return to a strongly-run mile looks a positive, particularly in a race containing several habitual pace angles who should ensure an honest gallop throughout.

Fast ground is another bonus with two wins form 9, and the likely race shape could allow him to settle before delivering his challenge late..

The booking of Jason Hart always catches the eye and the draw looks workable in a race where obtaining cover and conserving energy early could be important.

Available at rewarding double-figure odds despite having conditions that should suit and a profile that hints he may be ready to produce one of his better efforts.
