Today's Horse Racing Tips

Lingfield 13.43

Some consistent 5f types here with the likes of current trackers Mick's Spirit and Sam's Express.

However, both short enough to pass over an with Class 5 5f polytrack handicaps regularly rewarding horses that are either progressing under new connections.

FIORELLA PRINCESS fits that profile who has shown a clear upturn in form since moving to Charlie Wallis in November, producing three improving runs for the yard. Her latest effort, noted in our tracker, saw her finish a big-priced second at 33/1 in a Chelmsford City handicap over 5f just 16 days ago, a run that reads well.

Prior to that, her latest win came at Sandown in September to round off the turf campaign. Return to polytrack is a positive, now 5-1-3, and best at the 5f doesn't have to get into a pace battle here.

She has been raised just 1lb for her latest second leaving her on a very workable mark and possibly a tad under the radar for this one.

Hopefully not to far away with the in form Hector Crouch the pilot, likely to be priced with 8's and the THREE paying places.

Lingfield 13.43 - Fiorella Princess (Full Stakes Challenge)

Bright a 5/2 shorty with 3 course wins and needing to find 4lb and a PB to take this aged 4+ race.

Opting for Grant Tuer's 'vet' THE TURPINATOR.

He's a strong-travelling type who finishes his races off powerfully and this stiff 6f is ideal. His form here at Gosforth backs this up, and his late-running style is well suited to Newcastle’s long straight.

Importantly, he finished last season with a Class 3 win off 84, showing he can compete at a higher level than today’s Class 4 assignment.

Now racing off 78, looks very well treated. Five recent efforts over 7f have confirmed he retains his stamina and finishing kick, but today’s drop back to 6f should allow him to travel more easily before delivering his run late.

Hopefully a true pace with True Promise lining up, so should be finishing stronger than most.
