Horse Racing Tips by Always Back Winners:- 18th May 2026

🏇 Flat racing attention switches to Carlisle and Redcar today with another competitive afternoon of northern turf action on offer 👀

Carlisle’s stiff uphill finish always provides a proper stamina test, particularly in the sprint handicaps, while Redcar’s long straight often rewards horses able to travel strongly and finish off their races late. Both meetings feature several open handicaps with plenty of pace, draw and each-way angles for punters to get stuck into throughout the day 🫎

There's also a meet of note at Windsor and it's another two horse racing tips today 🫎 🫎

Today's Horse Racing Tips - Dante Festival & Hamilton

Redcar 14.40

Returning to the scene of our Mirski win going to look at one with previous here. over the staight mile

Ivan Furtado's WE'VE GOT THIS will hopefully step up on her seasonal return. Lightly raced last season but showed solid, consistent form throughout with some strong ratings along the way and shaping like a horse with further improvement still to come.

A sole victory came here and notably JH back up top catches the eye. That success last year came in cosy fashion off a mark of 60 and although she now races 5lb higher, there’s every chance she can improve beyond that level as a stronger and more mature 4-year-old.

Given how lightly raced she remains, her profile suggests there could still be more to come in handicaps this season. Her seasonal return can also be marked up considerably. A fluffed start effectively ended her chance at Ponty where it’s notoriously difficult to recover ground once losing position early.

Today's draw also appears favourable. High numbers have often held an advantage in these Redcar handicaps and she looks well positioned to track the pace.

Jason Hart taking over again is another major positive priced around 17/2 and the FOUR paying places with the bet365.

Windsor 18.40

Open looking Class 5 and going to side outside of the market leader with Robert Cowell’s ISLE OF LISMORE could outrun his odds returning to a track that clearly suits him well.

Has had problems and while his recent form figures may not immediately jump off the page, he now races from a mark fully 12lb below his last winning rating and dangerously well treated if able to rediscover some of his old sprint form.

He has also gone well fresh in the past, so the return from a break may not be the negative the market assumes. The return to Windsor looks a major positive. His record here stands at 6-1-2 and he has previously held his own in much stronger Class 2 company around this track.

He has enough natural pace to become very competitive here from aa better than average draw.

Saffie Osborne has ridden him before and perhaps notably has three engagements this week on with 14/1 and FOUR paying places.
