💥 Boom Boom Basil as Jason Hart made all at Pontefract on DARING LEADER.

He has a good relationship and record when booked by trainer Christopher Kellet and another seriously backed following our early selection this morning, 11's into 5/1.

What a nice double on the day and making it 3 winners on the bounce 🏇🍀💰🫎

Today's Selections - Jason Hart winner

Pontefract 17.30

This doesn't look the strongest Class 6 handicap and, at double-figure odds, DARING LEADER makes plenty of appeal as the value each-way selection.

His best effort this season came over today's one-mile trip at Ripon, where he shaped far better than the bare finishing position suggests when staying on for third in a race of similar quality. He now returns to that distance and competes from the same handicap mark, giving him every chance of reproducing that level of form.

One of the biggest positives is the likely race setup. There's always a distinct advantage for low drawn horses able to race prominently or dictate matters here over those held up towards the rear.

Drawn in Trap1, aptly named, DARING LEADER has the ideal opportunity to get that early position around the inside rail, and with Jason Hart taking the ride, you would expect positive tactics from the outset.

Hart has developed a productive partnership with Christopher Kellett, with the pair operating at an impressive strike-rate together, and his style of riding is well suited to making full use of a favourable low draw.

While his recent form figures don't immediately catch the eye, he has been running in races of a very similar standard to today's contest and now returns to conditions that appear much more suitable racing from a mark off which he has previously been successful.

The market understandably focuses on Anificas Beauty, but at around 11/1, our selected looks the horse offering the better value.

If he can secure an early prominent position and conserve enough for Ponty's stiff uphill finish, he's the one they have to pass and every chance of outrunning his odds looking an appealing each-way proposition.

Jason Hart doing the steering and priced expected around 11/1 with THREE places on offer 🍀🏇
