Today's Selections - Racing To Profit winner
Beverley 17.56
Another open race similar to the above and not delving to far down the market.
The Racing to Profit syndicate have a solid chance here with COOLREE.
He's a reliable type bringing proven C&D form along with a recent effort that reads particularly well in the for this race.
Last year he won a C5 here rated a good 15lb better than this lowly C6. Also, was only narrowly denied over this track and trip last time out. Showed good early speed in that one to get himself into a prominent position before just being worn down late on.
A repeat of that performance would put him firmly in the mix once again. The wide draw is the obvious caveat. However, it's not such an issue as the sprints here, as he generally breaks well, so hopefully gets a position before the bend.
He remains on a workable mark based on recent efforts and looks to be holding his form well, while the booking of PJ McDonald is another positive.
Few knock them in at around 20% so looks a solid option doing the steering and priced with 13/2 and the FOUR paying places.
