Low draws tend to prove best on the easy going and gets a decent draw along with The Bell Conductor and Vintage Clarets. Could do with a decent performance out of them at Old Trafford this afternoon 🤣

Will pass over that race and with things still early doors, and in a state of flux, will just take one race and a split stakes view on a race at Donny this evening (18.40).

Donny 18.40

With FIVE paying places gives us a chance at looking something at a nice price that could threaten the winners enclosure.

From the lower side of the draw will take the Midgemeister's LETHAL NYMPH who goes on 4th run since coming in from Clive Cox.

Has posted a decent effort on the stiff Gosforth hill on 2nd outing and just sat around mid-pack on return to turf action at HQ last time out. Those sharpenders at 5f should see him strip fitter for this one who is a previous C&D winner going in four times form 14 outings over the trip.

Joe Fanning does the honours and on with around 8's and 15/2 this morning that I would imagine may ease a tad.

2nd up is old favourite Basil RATHBONE who knows the track well and placed here on last 4 outings over the track.

Won here last September and although no show on return was an habitual 'pre-June' scorer with the Ryan yard.

David Probert does the steering and 40/1 looks too good to pass up on Michael Herrington's charge
