18.30 - Stay Golden With BetMGM Safer Gambling Handicap 4YO plus | Class 5 | 7f 14y | Standard | 10 Runners

Backed Airshow for a 3rd place home in a race won by the shortie favourite King Of York who got a good tow into the race. Ours just lost 2nd and well capable off a win here off current mark.

Our selection Harbour Vision was hung out the back for a good while running wide into the turn under Phil Dennis. Closed a few places for 5th could well have been closer given a better ride.....or maybe harsh and that the trap 10 draw didn't help? Monkmoor Pip showed vastly improved form in 3rd dropped to 62 form an opening handicap mark of 70.

20.00 - Unibet More Extra Place Races Handicap 4YO plus | Class 6 | 6f | Standard / Slow | 9 Runners

Won by 28/1 maiden, Scramble, backed My Remain just out the slots. Followed that up with a placed effort at Gosforth on 10th Feb and knocking at the door. Ravenglass was a running on 3rd and more of note on the turf from what will be a reduced mark from hi wins of 2022 from low 60's.

13.15 - Bet 10 Get 40 At BetMGM Handicap 4YO plus | Class 6 | 7f 1y | Standard | 11 Runners

Regal Glory could well be under the radar for Linda Mongan. Has run up some big priced efforts and almost always around the marks at Lingfield. Problem is they are usually 4th!!! Now on a paperweight 45.

16.10 - BetMGM: It's Showtime Handicap 4YO plus | Class 4 | 1m 1y | Standard | 8 Runners

Larado gave weight all round and a convincing winner that backed up a couple of decent efforts in C3. We backed Poetic Force who just failed to hang on for one of those paying slots. Still possibly at the top end of the handicap has won off this mark this year, at 10, and worth another look at a price.

Newcastle

17.35 - Stay Golden With BetMGM Safer Gambling Handicap 4YO plus | Class 6 | 7f 14y | Standard | 10 Runners

Peter Niven's Northbound ran a decent race at a price. Won early in his season, that seems to start post Christmas, at Southwell last year from 2 above this mark.

Not prolific, but two time turf winner Jackmeister Rudi has been backed on the turf for some shrapnel. Ran well enough here from a basement 45 mark to suggest could have something to offer when back on the turf at Catterick.

16.07 - Always Gamble Responsibly With BetUK Handicap 4YO plus | Class 4 | 1m 1f 104y | Standard | 12 Runners

No joy with Ernie's Valentine who should have been more capable from this mark. Won by one of pour past winners Arcadian Nights who did it in C4 for the first time.

A nice win with Billy Mill. Still looks capable into low 80's. Another tracker Algheed ran best race of the season so far whilst previous winner Surprise Picture ran up well from a wide draw. Used a good deal of petrol getting across and just couldn't last the pace after leading up to the final furlong and over 2 years since he did it off such a mark.

Newcastle

16.45 - Build Your Acca With BetUK Apprentice Handicap 4YO plus | Class 6 | 6f | Standard | 10 Runners

Backed earlier in the week May Remain ran up 2nd which was his best effort to date on a straight track. Old timer One Last Hug ran up 4th and looks ripe from this mark for a tilt at Ayr early in the season.

18.45 - Boost Your Acca-Fenwa With BetUK Handicap 4YO plus | Class 4 | 5f | Standard | 12 Runners

Backed Dream For Gold just out the slots. Will look at this Kevin Ryan charge back on the turf after undergoing wind surgery.
