Nice to get the all-weather up and running at the first attempt.

Tristan Davidson's charge SECRET ROAD was heavily gambled on into 7/4 favourite.

Clifford Lee had him handy throughout and once hitting the front looked a comfortable winner from this handicap mark.🐃🤣

Clive Cox's 3yo Crafty Spirit a shortish favourite based on evidence so far. Just that sole win on the polytrack at Kempton early in the season.

Will look to a trainer who has served us well and does get them going early. Indeed is 18-3-8 for the month and 7-1-5 at the track over the last year.

Tristan Davidson's SECRET ROAD came over from Ireland last year and off the mark very early at Newcastle before following up over this C&D last March.

That was off a mark of 64 before a limited turf campaign. Has had the summer off and goes on 2nd AW run after a stretch out at Gosforth over the 7f.

Off 59, drops in grade today and a decent draw to run up with the pace will hopefully be involved at the death.

Gets the benefit of Clifford Lee up top who's at the meeting for Karl Burke and on with a slightly better than wipes yer face 6/1 and the THREE slots.
