Today's Selections

Ayr 14.22

Favourite Aconcagua Mountain has no form on this going so look to two appealing at the prices and will split stakes in this one.

Michael Dods HAVEAGOMECCA is a perennial early scorer and drops back to a Class 6 for this re-appearance. With an overall 20% win/40% place is double that for the month of May.

Has won on seasonal re-appearance once, and, last term was quick out the blocks going in on 2nd run that popped her into the 80's. Struggled to cope with that but today goes off 67, 9lb below that last win.

Connor Beasley does the steering on this one and on with 10's and THREE paying slots.

Secondly, SIXCOR goes for Linda Perratt. Has three C&D wins here and was a big priced 3rd here in the festival meet last September.

Tommie Jakes is one of the hottest apprentices around and his record in sprints over the winter has been over 20% strike rate. If he translates that through to the turf he will be well sought after this term.

There's a general 14's about this one, again,with regulation THREE places for a split stakes approach today.

Tim Easterby's Showalong looks a fair lumping option following that improving run behind our winner Glory Fighter.

Still think the 5f is a bit sharp and will oppose with one who has been going well on the AW who has turf form.

Stella Barclay's SIR BENEDICT.

Looks to have benefited with the new headgear and was on the upgrade winning final two runs on the AW before running into a quag at Bath LTO.

Has been a genuine mid 60's performer and from this mark could well have a good season.

C-Rod does the steering and there's a general 8's about this one.
