Nothing much surprising about the first three home. Pallas Lord a past winner of ours and short enough here to have overlooked. 4th home Pop Favorite has decent mile form over the Gosforth mile including three wins in basement grade. Ran well enough here from a 52 mark to consider Scott Dixon's charge at a price.

18.00 - Boost Your Acca-Fenwa With BetUK Classified Stakes (Div 1) 4YO plus | Class 6 | 6f | Standard | 9 Runners

Alan Brown's Blackcurrent tried to make all and only just denied when rallying at death losing by a nostril. Proven winner in this grade.

A nice winner with Kats Bob. Southwell a happy hunting ground for Iain Jardine on the old fibresand and despite limited runners here since Covid and the change to tapeta maintains a healthy strike rate. The charge may yet find one off 70. 2nd home Mumayaz has racked up a good number of 2nds. Another good effort here from track 11.

20.30 - Find More Big Deals At BetUK Handicap 4YO plus | Class 6 | 4f 214y | Standard | 9 Runners

Backed Yaahobby out of the slots, Is 3-30 with plenty of places on the AW to warrant a look again. Best form over the 5f obviously needs a bit of luck in running coming off the pace. However, Mark Winn looks to be getting on with him, 9-1-5

Backed Dynakite who has excellent form this time of year. Ran unplaced after being constantly niggled at from the off fading to 8th in a race that was bereft of pace. Possibly helped the winner, the well handicapped Got No Dollars getting the easy run mile for the first time. Will have another look at Lee Carters charge

3rd home David Loughnane's Ciotog generally gives his running around this mark. Got going late for Billy Whizz behind tow well fancied types and worth a look if the prices is right.

14.40 - Always Gamble Responsibly With BetUK Handicap 4YO plus | Class 5 | 4f 214y | Standard | 10 Runners

Split bets on Jeans Maite and Dark Side Prince. The former continues to threaten whilst the latter should still be thereabouts from mid 60's and maybe needs to get back in a C6. Was on the wrong side of the draw to race his normal prominent race here.

Chelmsford

A while since we backed Stuart Williams charge Revolutionise. 3rd of 7 here running wide is getting down to a decent mark. Runs well at Wolves and booked out later next week.

Back From Dubai ran up 2nd behind the easy winning favourite Pessoa. BFD is better at Southwell and does hold an entry there on the 18th to review.

19.00 - Boost Your Acca At BetMGM Fillies' Handicap 3YO plus | Class 5 | 6f 20y | Standard | 11 Runners

Sarah's Verse was an early season winner on the turf after a limited AW campaign last year. Whilst worth a 2nd look on the AW is definitely looking at starting on a decent mark come April for Ron Harris

Backed Surprise Picture for 2nd. Has hardly been in the frame on previous winter efforts for ex-trainer Keith Dalgleish. Grant Tuer's yard hardly firing so will mark this up a tad.8.5f is stretching him a bit and have another look over the 7 or 8f.

Rogue Soldier looks an improving sort as an early season 4yo. best run to date here as a 3rd in C4 outside of that C5 win here at Wolves over the 9.5f trip.

Chelmsford

Previously backed Waleyfa sneaked the extra paying slot at a price. Alice Haynes charge was friendless in the market but inching back to that last 54 rated win. 3 wins to date, holds a best rated 2nd at Wolves over the 8.5f from a mark of 60.

Muscika gave us a run for the money until the final furlong. Slightly impeded, in fairness didn't look like threatening the winners enclosure. Won by the up and coming new season 4yo's will be better when he gets down to around 76.
