Our early AW trackers from this week and hopefully we can hit the ground running in October :)

25.09.23

Wolves

16.55 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap (3yo+, 7f 36y, Class 5, 12 runners)

Adrian Wintle has taken Ravenglass from Richard Fahey. Was in good form last Autumn on the turf. Running up a closing 3rd could go well for the yard back down on his opening handicap mark with a win off 67.

18.30 – Follow AtTheRaces On Twitter Handicap (3yo+, 5f 21y, Class 6, 10 runners)

Don’t usually note maidens but Tim Easterby’s yard always worth a check. Lola’s Moment regressive for the most has run a couple of decent runs of late and this was ok from a car park draw and a now basement mark. Ruth Carr’s Next Second finished 6th after some trouble in running. Had won prior race and has three 5f wins at Wolves under lady pilots.

26.09.23

Lingfield

13.50 – Download The At The Races App Handicap (3yo+, 6f 1y, Class 5, 11 runners)

3yo’d dominated the slots. Pablo Del Pueblo finished 5th at 40’s who was an improving 4yo last term and this wasn’t a bad effort of a 2 months break in a C5. All wins have come in C6 and off around 67.

27.09.23

Kempton

19.30 – Try Unibet’s New Acca Boosts Handicap (3yo+, 7f, Class 4, 11 runners)

Elzaam Blue conceded 4lb to a warm order favourite and a poor drawn ad finished a close up 2nd. Went on 4th run for Jamie Osbourne after coming over from Ireland and likely to progress now dropped back to the 7 and 8f. Follow Your Heart came home one behind who is another who may not have found his ceiling on the AW.

20.00 – Unibet Support Safe Gambling Handicap (3yo+, 7f, Class 6, 13 runners)

Blue Flame has dropped back below last winning marks and looks handy for another win off low 60’s. Struggled from mid 70’s for a year but two turf runs, and a ‘hampered in running no show’, this front running sort looks worthy of a follow for his first win under Stuart Williams over the 7f.

28.09.23

Southwell

19.30 – At The Races App Form Study Handicap (Div 1) (3yo+, 1m 13y, Class 6, 12 runners)

Seb woods yard running to the mark and Meng Tian was in the tracker last year. Originally 80’s rated has tumbled the ratings to late 50’s. Just 2 -24 at the moment, ran wide despite the trap 3 draw making late headway for 3rd. Has shown well on runs at a mike and may be able to get some shrapnel on this one guaranteed a decent price. Mykonos St John a further head away who enjoyed a decent 2020/21 showing signs of a revival off the front only losing a couple of soft places at the death. Due out this week under K T O’Neill. Scott Dixon’s yard have under performed this year only hitting around 5% win though won the following race to this on the card.

20.00 – At The Races App Form Study Handicap (Div 2) (3yo+, 1m 13y, Class 6, 10 runners)

Same set of trainers featuring with Scott Dixon’s Light Up Our Stars winning. Tends to win a short prices 🙁 but 2nd home One For The Frog got going late and only just touched off with them clear of 3rd.

29.09.23

Newcastle

18.00 – Vickers.Bet Weekly Free Bet Club Handicap (3yo+, 6f, Class 5, 10 runners)

3rd home Sun Power has won already for the new yard. Has plenty of form mid 80s for ex-trainer Darryl Holland so may not have finished yet. Possibly better over the 7f, Alan Brown gets some nice runs out of his AW sorts. Heather Mains Unsung Hero was a big priced 33’s in 4th. Has had a year out and dropped back to around past winning marks as a result. Two wins over the 7f both at Kempton to date.

20.30 – Vickers Bet Handicap (3yo+, 5f, Class 6, 12 runners)

No real surprises from the first 3 home. He’s Our Star, Blackcurrent & Mumcat all running to much their best marks. 4th home Joshua R one we had some place shrapnel on last year and 3 or so below last winning marks. Didn’t get the best of starts and did well in the closing stages. All his wins/places tend to come post Xmas so maybe one to keep an eye on for the new year.

30.09.23

Chelmsford

19.00 – Chelmsford City Racecourse Membership Handicap (3yo+, 6f, Class 5, 13 runners)

Over a year since Mohareb won but a former prolific winner has dropped well south of his mid 80’s winning marks. Conceded weight to the field and beaten only by the favourite The Waiting Game who has found 20lb of recent improvement.

20.00 – Firework Spectacular At Chelmsford City Racecourse Handicap (Div 1) (3yo+, 6f, Class 6, 12 runners)

Arlecchino’s Gift 2nd in this one and always capable of throwing one in when Mark Usher’s yard are in the zone.

20.30 – Firework Spectacular At Chelmsford City Racecourse Handicap (Div 2) (3yo+, 6f, Class 6, 10 runners)

Gay Kelleway’s Moveonup has 6 wins from 70 runs but always at monster prices – £9 too the good backing in all runs 🙂 Previously had a good time on the fibresand at Southwell but now showing to the good at Chelmsford.

Please be aware that we do not back all trackers on every run and only when we think conditions suit
