Today's Horse Racing Tips

Southwell 19.00

The most improved horse in training and top of the all-weather table Aisling Oscar goes on his eight-timer. Reminds me going way back when with Provideo and Tony Ives

As ever will look to take on with a value charge.

Mark Loughnane's Studious under Jack Mitchell should be in the shake up. Nonetheless the trainers Southwell record stands at 3-123 is hardly inspiring.

Opting for one who has been racing in better events than this, and consistently, in BAJAN BANDIT.

Patrick Morris's yard are running to the mark and this one is well suited by a stiff 7f or easy 8 and been doing that in Class 4 events.

The six-year-old is 19-3-6 on the AW and been racing exclusively at Newcastle over his last eight starts, placed in all but one of his last 5 when upped in C3.

Was only a year ago since winning a C4 here of the 7f very comfortably off a mark of 80 for Grant Tuer. Went the wrong way after that but since changing yards has shown more like getting back on track and still only rated 71.

Cousin Paddy Bradley does the steering and back in C5 at this 'easier track' looks a solid EW shout priced at 11/1 with the THREE paying places on offer.

Split decision here so going to have one of those races where we will Dutch a pair going in this one.

Last time out, Michael Herrington's ENPASSANT ran up 2nd for us at Wolves last week.

That was behind Harbour Vision who demonstrated good form running in again this week.

Ours has been in good form with an impressive Class 5 win at Newcastle up the Gosforth hill in the autumn. That came under Jack Mitchell and he continues to get the ride again tonight.

Well drawn and on the right side of the draw to track the likely pace of Habdri. That one could well run a big priced place if getting a soft lead.

Our selected finished the turf season well with wins at Leicester and placed at Yarmouth before that Gosforth win. All those were in C5 and this looks his easiest engagement for a while.

Jack Mitchell the pilot, yard going well with a PRB over 60%, and priced with a solid EW price around 8's and the FOUR paying places with the likes of bet365.

2nd up is MY MATE MIKE.

Dean Ivory's charge is not long back into the yard following being with John Jenkins. Was very well fancied LTO going off 3/1 favourite. Hopefully has blown the cobwebs away.

Last win came in an all the way performance at Chelmsford in a 15 runner. Tonight with not much pace about has a chance for same over his specialist 7f trip

Rab Havlin a very strong booking and priced around 16's and the FOUR paying places with the likes of bet365.
