Today's Horse Racing Tips

Southwell 17.08

Open looking mile with Scott Dixon's King Of York heading the market. Has won/placed here on 7 of last eight runnings. However right at the top of his handicap mark looks poor value for win purposes.

Looking at each way options, Rising Force has all wins on the polytrack and needs to improve 5lb on last win.

Soames Forsythe blows hot and cold with missed starts but ran in a 28/1 winner on penultimate run but another who needs a PB to go in again.

Going with one we have backed a couple of times in ERNIE'S VALENTINE.

That one got done for 2nd in that afore mentioned race against SF and also on H2H against today's favourite. Gets a 4lb pull on those runs so looking for a reverse today.

Phoebe Edwards does the steering and gets on well with him, 9-2-5, and on with the 8/1 and the FOUR paying slots.

Southwell 17.08 - Ernie's Valentine (Full Stakes Challenge)

Taking out the favourites Shalaa Asker and I Need Your Love, a good number of these being readied for the turf and may include one like Herakles who could throw one in off a break.

Will opt for one who is solid here in filling the frame in Derek Shaw's POPULAR DREAM.

Ran out a nice priced winner to open the autumn season with another win in January putting him up at 68. Mark has dropped significantly since and for one who does go well in C4 compared to the rest of the field, dropping back to last winning marl makes him look well in.

Joanna Mason doing the steering, who has all wins up top 19-4-9, and on with the 12/1 and the FOUR paying slots.
