Big priced from nowhere winner Armoured for fell & Murray. We backed Perfect Swiss who looked to get squeezed for room 2f out and finished over 7l down. looks well in at the weights if can rediscover his form last year now rated 60. Mercurius Power ran up 2nd and after scoring off a paperweight 57 in December after a poor summer, and was 6l ahead of 3rd. Does hold wins last year at low 70's on the AW as recently as March 2023.

Surprise Picture gave his running again for a wipes yer face place. One can hardly say missed was the maiden winner Grant Wood. A new Irish import for the Midgmeister. However more of note was David Nolan up top. I bashed on about his brilliant 7f Southwell record when he won for us ion Turbo Command :)

Mountain Warrior looks a tad ahead of the handicapper being relatively lightly raced over the summer. 2nd home Gobi Sunset, whilst not prolific, was mid 80's rated and this AW term won from 72. May pay to follow if dropping to a C5.

Muscika ran unplaced again and will probably fire one in when least expected. Ed Bethell's charges going well that bodes well for the start of the flat. Quandary ran in a big priced 2nd and looks well in on opening handicap mark.

20.00 - BetUK. It's Where The UK Bets Handicap 4YO plus | Class 4 | 4f 214y | Standard | 8 Runners

Nil return from Lihou either. 82 is 6 over highest AW winner prior at the track and better on the turf. Won by The Bell Conductor who looks a decent type. Having missed 2022, still looks well in on this mark and capable in C3/4.
