Today's Horse Racing Tips

Chester 15.40

Wide open big field with Jonny Concrete a warm order for Jason Hart backers.

Manila Scouse proven in grades above is on a good mark but a tad unproven on these turning tracks.

Opting for more of a price will take the lesser fancied of the Easterby pair, MIRACULOUS to have a bit more to come.

Could outrun his odds in this Class 4 handicap at a track where he has already shown good form for previous yard of Roger Varian. A win here last July came in a competitive Class 4 off a mark of 81, where he travelled strongly from a handy position before quickening clear late on.

An RPR 91 around here is a big plus for me and plenty of form out of that race. Recent pipeopener will hopefully see him take a big step forward second today.

Looking for a good break from trap 8 to secure a prominent early position,

Chester 15.40 - Miraculous (Full Stakes Challenge)

Ripon 19.15

Struggling to look outside of the market leaders 6f handicap. Grant Wood is a bit hit and miss at the moment and It Just Takes Time, a previous winner for us, is more at home over the 7f.

Going with one open to improvement in Tim Easterby's MODERN TIMES.

Last season lost his maiden tag in an impressive performance in a C5 running in a good RPR. His current mark of 74 still appears lenient based on the strength of both his recent efforts and the quality of the horses he has been competing against.

His pipeopener here over the trip was only beaten a couple of lengths but hit traffic in running. Followed that up sent off favourite up the stiff Ponty hill and beaten not far by now 90 rated Veblen Good.

Enough contested pace here with, Novamay off a long break and It Just Takes Time, to track and should be in the mixer at the death.

David Allan is the pilot and on with wipes yer face 5/1 and the THREE paying places.
