York once again takes centre stage, in terms of quality, on day three of the Ebor Festival, with the Group 2 Lonsdale Cup, Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes and the flying five-furlong Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes providing the headline action.

Yesterday proved more frustrating with both of our selections finishing unplaced. We reset and go again today, With nothing of note on the Knavesmire, our attention, however, will be firmly on a sole race at Hamilton📊

Today's Horse Racing Tips

Hamilton 18.45

🏇 TATTERSALL — 10/1 EW, 4 places

This is a competitive Class 3 sprint with several horses bringing solid claims, most notably Eternal Sunshine, who arrives with excellent course-and-distance form, while Canon’s House, Jordan Electrics and Sir Yoshi all have aspects of today’s pace and draw setup in their favour.

However, at a price TATTERSALL makes most appeal as the each-way play at 10/1.

Michael Dods six-year-old has done enough this season to show that he retains plenty of ability despite a couple of significant absences.

Most importantly, he went very close over this course and distance in June, finishing second by just a quarter of a length in a Class 3 handicap.

He followed that with a respectable fifth at Newmarket before being pitched into a considerably stronger Class 2 at Goodwood, where his finishing position looks worse than the actual performance.

He has previously shown he can operate considerably above today's race level and goes today from his last winning mark OR87.

David Nolan doing the steering, should have him near the head of affairs, and priced with 10/1 , 4 PLACES (1/5 odds)
