Today's Horse Racing Tips - Dante Festival & Hamilton
York 13.45
Zaros a rather obvious looking shorty at just wipes yer face prices and will look at two value selections to attack those extra paying places.
York 7f handicaps often develop towards the stands rail however, it's worth taking one form each side. First up is NYMAN who looks a very interesting each-way angle once combining the statistical profile, draw setup and likely race shape.
Roger Fell's charge is drawn in stall 20, he sits exactly where recent renewals of this race have tended to favour, with four of the last five winners emerging from double-figure stalls and several prominent finishers racing towards the stands-side group.
The pace setup also looks highly favourable. With plenty of speed drawn nearby, he should get a strong tow into the race without necessarily needing to force matters too early himself.
Off a mark of 79 he has the type of profile and at double-figure odds, he looks a very solid each-way play with Joanna Mason doing the steering.
Priced with 14/1 and SIX paying places with the bet365.
2nd up is Harriet Bethell's STYLE OF LIFE who could prove a dangerous pace angle and looks overpriced given the way this contest may unfold tactically.
While the low draw in stall 4 isn’t ideal based on recent historical trends, prominent racers massively outperform market expectations from an each-way perspective.
He looks a horse who thrives when able to get into a rhythm near the pace and York’s long straight could actually help him sustain that gallop longer than some sharper tracks.
PJ McDonald is another major positive. Won for us already this term and few jockeys are better at controlling fractions from the front in northern handicaps.
If able to secure a handy early position at around 14/1 he makes plenty of appeal as an each-way selection capable of hanging around for one of the SIX paying places with the bet365.
York 13.45 - Nyman & Style of Life (Full Stakes Challenge)
Hamilton 17.30
Open looking apprentices to start the meeting with three trackers going.
Thornaby Pearl heads the market for Adrian Nicoll's at just less than wipes yer face prices. Young Jack aboard who is good off the front and likely to take the beating.
At a price, Jim Goldie's Thunderstorm Katie is a win or bust type with 4 wins, zero places from 20+ races. 5lb above the last of those who tends to come off thge pace.
Prefer something at the head of affairs in these apprentices and opting for Rebecca Menzies KYBER CRYSTAL.
She looks one of the more solid pace angles and here at Hamilton, prominent racers often hold a major advantage if able to secure position early. She has been running consistently well in this grade without quite getting her head in front and now drops into a race where several rivals arrive with questions to answer.
Her recent Redcar effort, 2l behind re-opposing Beerwah, suggest she remains in good nick and the return to Hamilton should suit if allowed to get into a smooth rhythm near the pace from an early stage. Apprentice races can often become messy tactically, which only strengthens the appeal of horses who race prominently and avoid traffic problems.
Her current mark gives her every chance judged on some of the stronger handicap form she has shown over the last 12 months. Rebecca Menzies’ runners continue to go well and she makes plenty of appeal to be involved at the finish in a race that may not take a lot of winning.
Alex Jary is the pilot and on with 14/1 and THREE paying places.
