Today's Horse Racing Tips - Dante Festival
York 14.20
Highly competitive 5f with big numbers who want to do it off the front.
Geoff Oldroyd's Air Force One heading the market was an improver last year. The yard had a phenomenal strike rate with all charges they seemed to enter up last year.
Too short for me am afraid so will fire a couple of darts at our preferred prices.
First up is Ruth Carr's BRAZEN BOLT.
A big run on pipeopener at Thirsk, where he produced an excellent run to finish second by just a neck on what was his second start back following wind surgery. He travelled strongly throughout that contest and looked unlucky not to get up late on.
His handicap mark also looks more than fair based on the level of form he showed last season including a C&D win here.
Despite a 2lb rise for the Thirsk second, he is just 3lb above that last Class 2 success and now gets the added bonus of Harry Vigors taking a valuable 7lb off and looking extremely well treated on some of his best recent form.
Priced around 28/1 and SIX paying places with the likes of bet365.
2nd up is our winning pilot from yesterday with Jason Hart's LUNAR A INBHIR NIS.
Katie Scott's charge was a serious improver last term winning six times and climbing rapidly through the handicap ranks before holding her own in stronger Class 2 company later in the year.
Her sprinters are often capable of going well fresh and she already has proven C&D form here, including a strong big-field handicap success over this trip last summer, and her front-running style suits the Knavesmire.
The selections late-season form also reads particularly well in the context of today’s race. She was narrowly beaten in a strong Haydock Class 2 before finishing an excellent third in a competitive York handicap, beaten only a neck in a big-field sprint where she again showed plenty of speed from the front.
Jason Hart does the steering and has moved in price overnight from 16's and now 11/1 and SIX paying places with the bet365.
