Horse Racing Tips by Always Back Winners:- 13th September 2026

🏇 Sunday’s UK turf Flat racing comes from Doncaster and Bath, with Doncaster again providing the stronger card following St Leger weekend.

However, Bath’s 15:50 Summer Sprint Series Final immediately catching the eye. It carries a Class 2 label and £40,000 prize fund, but this is very much a series-final type of Class 2 rather than a field packed with proven top-level handicappers, with 17 runners lining up over the extended five furlongs.

A double throw again as we head into the week of one of our favourite meetings at Ayr.🔥

Bath 15.50

THE FEMININE URGE – 11/1 EACH WAY 5 places & SUB THIRTEEEN - 11/1 EACH WAY 5 places

Bath’s Summer Sprint Series Final is officially a Class 2, although that rather overstates the level of most of the field. The majority of these have been doing their winning and placing in Classes 4–6, so this looks much more like a competitive low-grade sprint with a valuable prize attached than a conventional Class 2 handicap.

There are obvious claims among those towards the head of the market. Legendsoftheland has one of the strongest overall profiles in the field, is only just above his last winning mark and has plenty going for him back at Bath. Mortubo brings the strongest profile after finishing second from OR65 at Newmarket and is already a Bath winner, although he has another 3lb to carry today from OR68. Big Time Rascal has also been in excellent form, winning twice before running fourth in a stronger 16-runner handicap last time, and his current mark is very much validated.

They all deserve respect, but at the prices I prefer two horses further down the market.

SUB THIRTEEN gets the first vote.

It is now twelve runs since his last success, but that statistic perhaps makes him sound less interesting than he actually is. His last victory came over this course and distance, and he has a very solid record at Bath from marks higher than the career-low OR53 he races from today.

He arrives in decent enough form too. His latest third at Wolverhampton came over the minimum five furlongs and he looked slightly inconvenienced by the drop in trip. The return to Bath’s extended five furlongs should suit him considerably better.

The handicapper has certainly given him a chance. He is now 6lb below his last winning mark, but importantly we are not relying simply on old form. This season he has repeatedly been competitive from marks between 54 and 58, including against fields with stronger average ratings than today’s opposition.

His Bath record is another major positive. He has won here more than once, has been effective over this sort of trip and has already shown he can operate from considerably higher ratings at the track.

From stall 7, he is also positioned in a useful part of the course. Sub Thirteen is versatile enough tactically that Callum Hutchinson should not need to get involved in an early battle. With several horses likely to go forward, the ideal scenario would be to sit just behind that pace and bring him into the race priced with 11/1 and the FIVE paying slots this morning.

2nd up is Grace Harris trained THE FEMINE URGE who has been threatening to win for her current yard for some time.

She went very close over this course and distance just eleven days ago, finishing second to Rinky Tinky Tinky from today’s mark of 55, and that was another indication that she is now very well treated.

She is currently 11lb below her last winning mark of 66, but again this is not simply a case of digging up an old rating and hoping she suddenly comes back to life.

Earlier this summer she finished second from OR56 and third from OR57 in races whose average ratings were substantially stronger than the field she meets today. That is strong evidence that she retains enough ability to take advantage of her current mark.

Her latest Bath second confirms that point. She is still a relatively young horse at four and her recent form reads much better than that of many rivals who have also fallen down the handicap.

Her natural style is generally midfield or held up, which should work if the forward runners set a decent enough gallop. Ashley Lewis takes off a valuable 3lb, effectively easing the burden further, and that could be particularly useful in a race where relatively small differences could make the difference.

Trap 14 is not as attractive as the formers in 7, nevertheless at around 12/1, she still makes plenty of each-way appeal.
